Hagstrom Engineering was contracted to provided Civil Engineering service for the new First Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN. This new facility is 37,000+/- sq. ft. on a 22-acre parcel with associated drive isles, parking and walkways.
This project included parking lot, utility, grading, drainage, and SWPPP design. Site storm water runoff is managed with a wet-bottom detention pond meeting MPCA and City requirements, this is a regional water quality and detention pond.
This project consisted of coordinating driveway and utility connections with a future 18th Avenue expansion project. HE designed the future portion of 18th Avenue, which currently functions as a private drive access, with public water and sanitary sewer mains. These utilities in 18th Avenue will not only be used for First Lutheran but also for future development on adjacent lots along future 18th Avenue.
First Lutheran has been constructed and opened its doors in August of 2019.
